On 6 October, Uzhhorod University opened its first STEM laboratory dedicated to robotics, 3D modelling and data processing at the Faculty of Mathematics and Digital Technologies.
🚀 The new laboratory is the first of four STEM labs being created within the “STEMLab Synergy” project, supported by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A NEXT Romania–Ukraine Programme 2021–2027.
🤖 Equipped with 3D printers, servers and a 3D scanner, the laboratory will give students and schoolchildren the opportunity to explore robotics, artificial intelligence, neural networks and 3D modelling and develop their own projects.
💡 UzhNU students have already demonstrated the possibilities of the new space, including a 3D-printed robotic arm capable of recognising images.
🌱 The project will also support teacher training and practical STEM education, with additional laboratories soon to open at UzhNU’s Faculties of Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
