KPI 3D scanning and post-processing equipment opening ceremony with Czech Ambassador

Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Opens Ukraine’s First Advanced 3D Scanning and Post-Processing Center

⚙️ Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) has officially opened and commissioned state-of-the-art 3D scanning and post-processing equipment, with no equivalent currently available in Ukraine.

🇨🇿 The opening ceremony was attended by Luboš Veselý, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Ukraine, and representatives of 3Dees Industries, LLC.

The project, implemented by KPI’s Educational and Research Mechanical Engineering Institute and the KPI Science Park of Additive Technologies, significantly expands opportunities in digital manufacturing, engineering research, additive technologies, and advanced professional training.

The new facility includes:

GOM Scan 1 optical 3D scanner for digitizing components and quality control;
DyeMansion DM60 for coloring 3D-printed polymer parts;
DyeMansion Powerfuse S for chemical smoothing of polymer components.

🤝 The project was implemented with the support of the Embassy of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic (CzechAid) as part of assistance to Ukraine.

Before the opening, 30 KPI students and staff from four faculties completed specialized training provided by 3Dees Industries experts, covering modern additive manufacturing, 3D scanning, digitization, materials, post-processing, and production optimization. Participants received international certificates and are now prepared to apply their knowledge in research, education, and real-world engineering projects.
