Bukovinian State Medical University Expands the Prospects for Ukrainian-Finnish Partnership

On August 31, Bukovinian State Medical University welcomed Vasyl Hutsul, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Ukrainians in Finland and Adviser to the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

During his meeting with Igor Gerush, Rector of the University, Mr. Hutsul presented the activities of the Association of Ukrainians in Finland, its key areas of work, and initiatives aimed at supporting the Ukrainian community, strengthening international ties, and fostering Ukrainian-Finnish cooperation.

Particular attention was given to new opportunities for cooperation between Chernivtsi and the Finnish city of Jyväskylä — sister cities with significant potential for developing joint initiatives and meaningful partnerships.

The discussion focused on education, science, humanitarian cooperation, and international partnerships. The participants expressed mutual interest in launching new joint initiatives that could encourage the exchange of experience, strengthen academic connections, and further develop cooperation between Ukraine and Finland.

Partnership built on knowledge, trust, and shared values opens new opportunities for the development of education, science, and international cooperation.
