🎓 KPI Rector Anatolii Melnychenko Named Among Ukraine’s Top 5 Most Influential Figures in Education & Science
Anatolii Melnychenko, Rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, has ranked 5th in the “100 Most Influential Ukrainians of 2026” by Focus magazine, in the newly introduced Education & Science category.
This recognition is about more than the Rector himself. It highlights the growing role of KPI as one of Ukraine’s leading centers of engineering education, science and innovation.
In 2026, the university continues to develop in the face of war, demographic challenges and a growing shortage of engineering professionals. Its priorities include preparing specialists for Ukraine’s economy and future reconstruction, expanding dual education, and strengthening cooperation with business and industry.
International cooperation is another key priority. KPI continues to develop partnerships with European universities, participate in Horizon Europe, and engage with leading European engineering networks.
