🎖️ Bukovinian State Medical University Signs Memorandum of Cooperation to Support Military Personnel and Veterans
Bukovinian State Medical University has joined a partnership aimed at developing medical and rehabilitation care for military personnel and war veterans in the Chernivtsi region.
The university has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation focused on strengthening cooperation in the fields of medical and rehabilitation assistance for service members and veterans. The Memorandum provides for coordinated work between medical institutions, professional training, and joint scientific research.
The document was signed by Professor Ihor Herush, Rector of Bukovinian State Medical University; Natalia Sviestun, Director of the Department of Health Care of the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration; Bohdan Lytvyn, Director General of the Chernivtsi Emergency Hospital; and Vitalii Polataichuk, Director General of the Chernivtsi Regional Hospital for War Veterans. The signing was also attended by Vitalii Bondar, First Deputy Head of the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration.
For Bukovinian State Medical University, the key areas of cooperation include practical training for students and doctors, professional development for healthcare professionals, and joint research projects.
The partners also plan to organize joint medical consultations, develop multidisciplinary teams, introduce modern treatment and rehabilitation protocols, and expand the use of telemedicine.
The main goal of the partnership is to ensure a continuous patient care pathway — from emergency assistance and specialized treatment to rehabilitation, prosthetics, psychological support, and social assistance.
To implement joint projects and strengthen the material and technical resources of the participating institutions, the partners also plan to attract international technical assistance and grant funding.
These initiatives reflect the university’s commitment to developing practical education, professional training and modern approaches to healthcare — opportunities that are especially valuable for students preparing for a career in medicine.
