🇺🇦🤝🇷🇴 Academic Partnership Opens New Opportunities
Bogomolets National Medical University has signed an academic partnership agreement with a Romanian university.
Bogomolets National Medical University and George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Târgu Mureș (UMFST), Romania, have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
The academic partnership opens new opportunities for cooperation in medical education, scientific research and academic exchange.
The agreement was signed by Professor Yurii Kuchyn, Rector of Bogomolets National Medical University, and Professor Leonard Azamfirei, Rector of UMFST.
Through this partnership, the universities plan to develop joint research projects, academic mobility programmes and educational initiatives in medicine, strengthening connections between the academic communities of Ukraine and Romania.
According to Professor Leonard Azamfirei, the partnership goes beyond academic cooperation, carrying important human and symbolic meaning in the context of the challenges Ukraine is currently facing. It represents solidarity, trust and support for education, science and the future.
Professor Yurii Kuchyn emphasized that Bogomolets National Medical University continues to expand its network of international partners. Such cooperation enables universities to exchange academic expertise, conduct joint research and implement educational projects, while strengthening Ukraine’s presence in the international education community.
The partners chose the motto “E pluribus unum” — “Out of many, one”, reflecting the unity and solidarity behind this new international academic partnership.
UMFST is one of Romania’s largest public universities, founded in 1948 in Târgu Mureș. Around 13,000 students study Bachelor’s, Master’s, doctoral and residency programmes across seven faculties.
