Are you an international medical graduate looking for the next step in your professional journey? The “General Medical Practice” one-year internship from Bogomolets National Medical University is your bridge from medical school to real clinical practice — taught in English, open to foreign graduates, and designed to help you launch your medical career in Ukraine (and beyond).
Why choose our internship?
- English-taught & international-friendly. All training materials and instruction are available in English, so you can focus on medicine, not language barriers.
- Full-time clinical experience. Spend 12 months working in real hospitals and clinics — diagnosing, treating, consulting patients under supervision, and learning how to manage general practice and primary care.
- Comprehensive medical training. You’ll cover core disciplines like internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, emergency and outpatient care, preventive medicine, and more.
- Certificate of Primary Specialization. After successful completion, you receive an official certificate in “General Medical Practice,” recognized in Ukraine — a necessary milestone for further specialization or licensing.
- Pathway to specialization or licensing. If you pass the required Ukrainian-language state exam, you can proceed to full internship/specialization — just like local Ukrainian graduates.
- International flexibility. The certificate opens doors: you can apply to specialization programs in Ukraine or use your training when seeking recognition abroad (subject to local regulations).
