Transfer of Education

Demont Consultancy provides professional support for educational transfers to, from, and within Ukraine. We help international students continue their academic journey legally, smoothly, and with full compliance with national education regulations.

Transfer of Education to Ukraine

If you are an international student wishing to continue your studies in Ukraine, you can transfer your previously earned credits to a Ukrainian university after arriving in the country.

To begin the transfer process, you will need to provide the following original documents:

  • official academic transcripts from your previous college or university
  • secondary school certificate
  • international passport (travel document)

These documents are reviewed by the university’s Admission Committee for:

    • academic equivalency and recognition
    • evaluation of credit hours
    • compliance with Ukrainian educational standards and curriculum

If your previous education meets Ukrainian requirements, the Admission Committee will approve your documents and issue a Study Offer for the appropriate program. Once you accept the Study Offer, the next step is to wait for the official Invitation to Study, issued by the relevant authorities. This invitation allows you to enroll in the corresponding year or semester.

Transfer of Education within Ukraine

Students already studying in Ukraine may transfer to another Ukrainian university if they have successfully completed at least one academic year of study. If you are already studying at one of the universities in Ukraine and would like to change your university, this transition is absolutely possible. You will need to receive a new electronic Invitation to Study from the accepting institution, while the next steps will depend on your documents and your individual situation. The Demont Consultancy team will carefully review your case and gently guide you toward the most reliable and confident solution for your future.

Transfer Rules for Medical Students

If you are studying in a medical field (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy) and plan to continue your education in Ukraine, it is important to understand the specifics of the Ukrainian system. During their studies, medical students must pass KROK-1 after the 3rd year and KROK-2 after the 6th year. Therefore, international students transferring from abroad cannot be admitted to the 4th year or higher because they do not yet hold a KROK-1 certificate. The same rule applies when transferring between Ukrainian universities: a KROK-1 certificate is required to transfer to the 4th year or above. As a result, the highest possible year of admission is the 3rd year, until the KROK-1 certificate is obtained.

Transfer of Education from Ukraine to Other Countries

International students studying in Ukraine may continue their education at universities in European countries such as Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Usually, completing at least one academic year in Ukraine allows students to apply for transfer, with credits considered under the ECTS system and evaluated by the receiving university.
