International students from around the world can apply to Ukrainian universities through a modern and transparent digital system that makes the process convenient and secure. Since April 2025, all applications and official procedures for foreign applicants are processed through the Unified State Interdepartmental Information System, which ensures safe online submission, verification of documents, and issuance of an official Electronic Invitation to Study—the primary document required for enrollment.

To apply, international students must submit their application along with required documents such as a passport and legalized educational certificates, translated into Ukrainian by a certified notary. Admission to Ukrainian universities is based on the Certificate of Complete General Secondary Education as the primary document, along with other documents confirming the year of study. If you completed school in Ukraine and hold a Ukrainian certificate, you must also submit the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT) certificate.
International admissions are conducted in two main periods:
- January 15 – March 1 (exclusive)
- July 1 – November 1 (exclusive)
Admission to accredited Ukrainian higher education programs is available for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral studies. Some universities may also require language or entrance exams depending on the chosen program. While admissions usually occur before each semester, preparatory courses and special programs may accept students year-round.
